Leadership is hard to define crisply… but easy to see! After starting with Ford Motor Company after Graduate School and then spending 25 years of Leadership Consulting all over the world… I have spent more hours with smart, courageous, and steady senior leaders than most! What an incredible ride and blessing.
In 2019, after a serious health diagnosis for my wife, I retired from the most remarkable little consulting firm in North America. RLG International, out of Vancouver, BC, does performance improvement and leadership Coaching with Fortune 50 firms. From Texas to Alaska and London to Australia, Sally and I worked and lived all over the world with leaders in some of the largest and most successful companies in the world who had one key goal in mind… they wanted their leadership to get even better!
I spent years coaching amazing men and women who lead large workforces at American Airlines, Volvo, BP, Bell Helicopters, and ConocoPhillips. What a privilege and challenge.
Since retiring at 58, I have pursued two lifelong passions…
- Living the Christian life well
- Building a family manufacturing business.
Living my entire life in pursuit of a growing relationship with Jesus Christ led me straight to filling a hole in a large Texas church that I loved. First Methodist Mansfield, where I was a simple, happy, retired, member, had a need for an Executive Director. Today, 5 years later I love serving the dedicated Staff and leading several Men’s Ministries.
The family business part, like my faith, has always been there too. My Father, Dick Davis, started a little manufacturing company some 60 years ago, and today, our third generation is involved in General Electrodynamics Corporation in Arlington, Texas. GEC manufactures and designs everything from Truck & Aircraft weighing equipment and smart storm warning systems to electronic equipment for the Department of Defense. GEC is small but filled with an amazing team and interesting products.
